Well life has been anything but easy at the moment, however I am finding the time in my studio to be a release of sorts. I'm currently working on my photographs that I took last year by adding 3 dimensional aspects to them. Texture and nature.

Why is it?

I will continue this question after a pause...

Why is it that... whenever I sit to start writing an academic response I am suddenly inspired to go to the studio and make art, and of course... NOT write the response. Why why why?

Been a While

I'm really not good at this thing.

I'm actually not good at a lot of things. Although that hardly matters to anyone, even me.

This summer has been... odd. I acquired a job at Not Your Average Joes doing take out. Yep, thats right they call me "Joe to go". I work pretty much every night which prevents me from doing a lot of things I wish I could with my friends. Going out to the bar after seems to be a routine thing after work. (i'm not an alcoholic).

I think I'll pick up this blog thing once my senior year starts. I'll be posting my happenings and art. maybe I'll even figure out how to post a song or two on here.

This summer I made way more music than I did art, but its ok because I started playing shows which, by the way if you live in the beverly area you should totally come check me out. Playing shows is something I had been meaning to do for years but never had the guts to do it. I stopped and looked myself in the mirror one day and after a good pep talk (yes I talk to myself) I got off my a$$ and played. I totally owned the show and from then on I had caught the bug. Its a rush being in front of people, even if its just a few random faces at a random cafe in a random town. But its a start and I can't wait to play more.

well... its that time of night after work where I'm going to head off to the bar. =]
